CommuniKids Bilingual Preschool

CommuniKids is a language immersion school offering high-quality educational programs for children: preschool, weekly classes, afterschool care, and summer camps. We have been working with the wonderful team at CommuniKids for over 10 years, and this is the third website iteration we have done for them. Recently they had decided on a strategy change and wanted their website to reflect these changes. We were excited to take on the project to help them create a fresh, beautiful online space to showcase their passion for language immersion and feature all that they have to offer in a cohesive, friendly format.
Objective
The CommuniKids website has a complex relationship between various programs, languages, and locations, so it was important to make it easy for prospective parents to find programs in their area, see which language programs were available, and to register quickly or contact them for more information.
In addition to improving clarity through the various languages, programs, and locations, we wanted to showcase the joyful, nurturing spirit of CommuniKids through fresh photography and videos.
Also, along with the updated website, Design TLC was tasked with creating a warm and welcoming new logo icon, which could be used for situations where a circular or square logo would be the best fit.
Approach
In order to accomplish these goals, Design TLC implemented:
Strategic Website Refresh & Visual Enhancements
- Conducted a full design refresh of the existing WordPress site.
- Added a background homepage video to highlight the engaging, immersive classroom environments.
- Introduced new photos and videos across the site, featuring joyful, candid interactions between students and teachers at all locations.
Clear Program Structure & Navigation
- Reorganized content by location, language, age group, and class type to reduce confusion and help families quickly find relevant offerings.
- Implemented stylish, easy-to-update tabbed content blocks using saved Beaver Builder templates, making program updates more efficient for staff.
- Included buttons for registration and additional info directly within tab sections for intuitive navigation.
Branding & Testimonial Integration
- Refined the brand presentation by designing a new circular icon version of the logo, now used as a visual identifier across the site.
- Featured parent testimonials more prominently, adding trust and emotional connection for prospective families.
