Friends of the Arlington Public Library
We are thrilled to share the new logo and website for the Friends of the Arlington Public Library. The Friends of the Arlington Public Library (FOAL) is a volunteer organization established to support the public library system in Arlington, Virginia. Their mission is to enable a strong, vibrant, engaged community using the libraries as a place to read, learn, work, create, congregate, and share ideas. We’re all about supporting local communities to help educate and enrich the lives of others, especially children!
Objective
- FOAL had a very outdated website and needed a complete redesign with a fresh, engaging look.
- They required a better system for managing donations and memberships, replacing their manual spreadsheet process.
Approach
- Designed a vibrant, colorful logo that represents books, community, and people through circular elements.
- Developed a new WordPress website using Beaver Builder for easy content management.
- Integrated the GiveWP plugin to streamline donations and backend reporting.
- Utilized GiveWP’s Import feature to transfer existing member and donor data from a spreadsheet, allowing for efficient management of recurring annual memberships, Lifetime Memberships, and one-time donations.
Outcome
- FOAL now has a modern, bright and cheerful website that aligns with its mission and community focus.
- The new donation and membership system simplifies financial management, making it easy to track and process contributions.
- The organization can now seamlessly manage recurring and lifetime memberships, reducing administrative workload and improving donor engagement.
