Summer Camp Website Refresh

New Summer Camp Website

Summer camp websites can be the forgotten child of a school’s website portfolio. With an ever-increasing focus on auxiliary programs, however, a school’s summer program should not be an afterthought.

The Sheridan School recently refreshed their main school website using Blackbaud. While Blackbaud offers a lot of integrations, their website builder can be limited, hard to manage, and expensive. (We’d love to redo this school’s website with our new Blackbaud integration sometime!)

The school’s summer program has creative arts focus, thus the name “CASA” stands for Creative Arts Summer Adventure.” The camp website is separate from the main site, and was already on WordPress, so we helped redesign and rebuild this website to make it more engaging, easier to use and welcoming.

Compelling Message and Hero Area

The prior website had a jumpy video with images in different orientations. It lacked a call to action and a cohesive design. We created a new website for the camp in just 4 weeks! We put together a custom design, new content and reorganized the pages to clarify the programs and classes.

The resulting website is clean and fresh, easy to navigate, and conveys the personality of the camp. We made sure to also ensure that the website loads fast, has custom meta descriptions for SEO, and is easy to manage on the back end with templates using Beaver Builder. We also connected the website to Google Analytics and Google Search Console, which was not set up previously, so we can track its performance as the summer camp season ramps up early in the new year.

We are excited to see this new website help CASA at Sheridan camp increase engagement and enrollment this season!
