A Delightful New Digital Home for Team Survivor Northwest
At Design TLC, we love partnering with organizations that are changing lives - and Team Survivor Northwest is doing exactly that.
For over 30 years, this incredible nonprofit has empowered women who have faced cancer to rebuild strength, confidence, and connection through movement and community.
When it came time to reimagine their website, the goal was clear: create a digital experience that feels just as welcoming, supportive, and empowering as their programs.
The Challenge: A Website That Didn’t Reflect the Community
Team Survivor Northwest’s previous website no longer matched the energy of their growing organization.
While their programs were impactful, the website made it difficult for visitors to:
- Find classes and programs easily
- Navigate key information
- Keep content updated efficiently
Behind the scenes, staff were spending unnecessary time managing content and making it harder to focus on what matters most: supporting their community.
They needed more than a redesign - they needed a smarter, more sustainable solution.
The Vision: Warm, Welcoming, and Easy to Use
From the start, the goal was simple: create a website that feels like Team Survivor Northwest.
That meant a modern, uplifting design, clear paths to programs and classes, and an experience that’s easy to navigate on any device. Behind the scenes, it also needed to be just as intuitive - giving staff the tools to update content quickly and confidently.
Most importantly, the site had to feel like an extension of the community: supportive, accessible, and full of possibility.
The Approach: Thoughtful, Streamlined, Human
We focused on what matters most - how real people use the site.
By mapping key user journeys, we prioritized clarity, accessibility, and ease at every step. Programs and classes are now front and center, with simplified content, consistent calls to action, and a structure that guides visitors naturally from interest to engagement.
The design brings that experience to life with intuitive navigation, strong hierarchy, and a warm, energetic feel that reflects the spirit of the organization.
Just as important, the backend was built for sustainability with flexible layouts, reusable components, and streamlined workflows that make day-to-day updates easier for staff.
